Pop Data Engine · precise reconstructionClick a channel to select it. Ctrl/Cmd + click adds or removes channels. Drag on the waveform to select time. Trim always applies to all channels; monitoring is independent.
Level processing targets amplitudes within the selected time range. It does not filter frequencies or automatically remove noise.
Drag across the waveform to select a range. The end frame is excluded. Integer PCM gain is rounded to whole sample values; changes that would clip are rejected.
Stereo mixer
Live controls apply during playback. Master starts at −18 dB; a safety ceiling at −0.18 dBFS may alter loud peaks. Stereo export uses the same mix and ceiling. Automation overrides channel faders where points exist.
Timeline clips
Double-click a clip to select it. Select mode drags a time range; Insert/Move mode drags the selected clip on its track. Insertion shifts later audio on selected tracks and pads other tracks with silence. Crossfade overlaps the preceding audio with the incoming clip. All arrangement changes support Undo.
Groups & automation
One group per channel. Group level adds to channel level. Automation stays at absolute timeline positions when clips move. Select one channel to draw points; automation holds the first and last point outside their range.
Project & mix export
Stereo mix exports the full recording as 32-bit float WAV, including channel levels, pan, Solo/Mute, groups, automation and master ceiling. Channel export preserves edited source precision and excludes mixer settings. Project audio, edit history and mix settings are saved locally; no separate download is needed.
Arrange & transitions
Destination frame is shared with Timeline clips. Move removes the selected range, then inserts it at the destination in the resulting track. Other tracks retain their positions. Crossfade copies the selection, overlaps its beginning with audio preceding the destination and preserves the later audio. Equal-power transitions may need lower clip levels to avoid clipping.
Channel & group effects
Three bell EQ controls and a peak compressor. Channel effects precede channel level/pan; group effects process the stereo group with linked compression, before group level and master. Effects are saved with the mix and included in stereo export. Selected-channel WAV export remains free of mixer effects. Filters start fresh at playback start; comparison previews restart from the selection.
Record automation
Arm the selected channels, play, then move their volume or pan faders. Write mode replaces automation across the recorded interval, including channels you do not move. Stop or Finish saves the take; old automation outside the interval is retained. Recording ends at the first loop boundary. Up to 4,096 points per channel and 16,384 per mix. Group/master fader moves are not recorded.
Audio inspection
Find full-scale samples, silence below −60 dBFS lasting at least 0.5 seconds, possible isolated clicks and possible DC offset. Findings require listening; they are not automatic diagnoses. Up to 200 markers are shown.
Channel alignment
Select a shared audible event. Estimation uses the first 16,384 selected frames and searches up to ±2,048 frames. Positive shift delays the target. Shifting stays inside the selection: vacated samples become silence and samples crossing its boundary are dropped. Listen and use Undo to compare.
Shape selected audio
These edits preserve the source and support Undo. Normalization uses one shared gain for selected channels. A/B compares the previous and current revisions over the same time range; revisions must have equal duration.
Search uses selected channels. Click a result to audition the selected group. Exact search includes the selected section itself. Repetition search is experimental: choose a changing event lasting 0.05–2 seconds. It compares level patterns, not musical identity. Similarity search is experimental: select 0.3–30 seconds. Results are candidates to audition; scores are not probabilities. The first 200 results are shown.
